"Dancing Swan" (2013)
Acrylic On Watercolour (Archival) Paper
I've made several ballerina paintings for my exhibition, always loved the strong yet graceful movement of the dancers. This piece is slightly different from the other dancers. You may notice that this figure, in comparison to the other dancers looks smaller; almost childlike. My exhibition, "Movement In The Right Direction", incorporated the importance of movement and rhythm in music directly into my paintings. Watching ballet dancers move gracefully on stage and from my memories has inspired me to paint many.
