Lemons and Limes - Oil on Canvas. This is my first oil painting (oil paints) that I did in almost 10 years. I have painted in oil pastels for almost a decade and decided to try oil paints again because something was hinting to try something new. Wanted to paint with oils for quite some time and finally decided that now is the time, no more excuses.

As a child I drew every day in class. I feared running out of places to draw and materials to create art rather than getting in trouble for not paying attention. My school notebooks became a diary of sketches, doodles and drawings. In time it turned into the building blocks of the art you see today. Art to me is visual poetry that captures an intriguing subject, captivating concept and an artists soul. The intent of creating artwork to this day hasn't changed for me. I eliminate distractions and solely focus on my passion generating an "in the moment" experience. Thank you Anne for your support. This painting was my first oil painting that I produced in oils after almost a decade of only using oil pastels. Even though I painted in oils for years, in 2011 I picked up my brushes and have been painting with oil paints since.

Hi Mike, this was my first oil painting (using oil paints and brushes) that I completed in almost 10 years since I painted exclusively with oil pastels. It is a painting which will remain in my personal collection and is not for sale.
